Cenotaph
This November 11, 2018 will mark 100 years since the official end of the First Great War.  In 2015, the Town of Tillsonburg desired to give special attention to our local heroes who fought and died in the World Wars.
With the approval of the Town Council and through the help of the Tillsonburg Rotary club, the thoughtful donation from the late James Sergeant (1923-2013) and the TMHC, we were able to recognize, by name, these local heroes with the dedication of a memorial plaque which has been affixed to the town's cenotaph.

In the years since the plaque was dedicated, the TMHC was produced a commemorative pamphlet which very briefly provides the name, serial number, very short bio and a picture (if possible) of each soldier.  This allows the public a opportunity to connect with and realize that these names on the plaque were real people who were once part of our town.
